What can I do if I have concerns about my child’s development?
If you have concerns about your child’s development raise them with your Maternal and Child Health Nurse or your doctor. You know your child best and parental concerns are a valid reason for further investigation.
Children can be referred by parents or health practitioners.
In the North West region of Melbourne a Central intake process is in place.
This means that all referrals are made to 1800 783 783 and, after confirming eligibility, families will be allocated to an intake worker who explains the service system and provides information and links to other services, depending on the family's needs.
